FÄRGBYGGE TILJA Wood Lye gives the wood a calm and pleasant surface that maintains the natural feel of the wood even with pigmentation. The lye also makes the wood surface more resistant to dirt and more durable, which results in less yellowing. It is available in variants: clear without lime, white-pigmented, and gray-pigmented.

Suitable for indoor use on freshly sanded pine, spruce, or larch wood floors, furniture, and similar items.

The FÄRGBYGGE TILJA series of wood preservatives is a classic product line designed for traditional building preservation.

PREPARATION

Sand the surface before treatment, finishing with 100-grit sandpaper. Vacuum or dry wipe the surface to remove all sanding dust.

PAINTING

Pour the content into an acid-resistant container (not aluminum). Note: Use protective equipment!

Apply the lye evenly in the direction of the wood grain using a lye brush or synthetic roller.

Work in plank lengths, from wall to wall, and do not finish the application until the entire surface is treated.

Allow drying for at least 24 hours. The moisture content in the material should not exceed 10% before final finishing.

The surface is now ready for final finishing with FÄRGBYGGE TILJA Wood Soap. Clean the tools with water.

MAINTENANCE ADVICE

A lye-treated surface that has been finished with FÄRGBYGGE TILJA Wood Soap is recommended to be regularly soap-treated in the first year, for example, 1-2 times per month. This helps saturate the wood surface and achieve higher protection for the substrate.
